What Mozart taught me about growing a business

I went to the Symphony on Saturday night.

It wasn't just any Symphony - it was Mozart's Requiem.

Firstly, who doesn't love Mozart?

I sang Mozart's Requiem with my Masterworks Chorus in college.

I won't tell you quite how many years ago that was (25!) but I gotta tell you - I LOVED being in that chorus. Requiem was so amazing to sing!

I remembered the words and the notes like it was yesterday.

Back then, being in the chorus was pure fun.  It was such a welcome break from studying! On Tuesday evenings I would walk happily into the music hall with my friends and then we would sing our hearts out.

As I was enjoying the Symphony, it made me think, "Should I get into a chorus again?"

Life in my 30's and early 40's somehow got in the way of me enjoying this creative outlet, but as I was listening on Saturday I began imagining myself up on that stage too (along with 150+ other singers!)

And then I suddenly felt stuck.

I immediately started thinking:

"I need more practice to be able to sing those high notes again!"

"I don't even know how to audition!"

"I'm not the best singer anyway."

And then I stopped. I realized...

These are the SAME thoughts that stop us entrepreneurs from getting out there in a big way!

Us entrepreneurs have an amazing vision.

We have so many ideas on how to bring the vision to life.

Only we get stuck in the "how"...

Or the "I'm not ready"...

Or the "She's better than I am so I shouldn't do it."

That's why it's key to have the right support, accountability and cheerleading to help you see the forest through the trees.

It's vital to have someone besides yourself to coach you through those niggly-wiggly limiting beliefs AND help you create a specific plan to help you get yourself out there.

That's why I'm so excited to introduce
